Job Role: The Service Manager leads a team of technicians assigned to a dedicated group of customer facilities, coordinating field service operations including scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergency support. This individual ensures customer satisfaction and system reliability by offering remote support and managing all service activities efficiently.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain strong relationships with facility personnel, operations managers, and corporate leaders
  • Supervise and schedule work and travel for a team of field service technicians
  • Quote service, repair, and upgrade projects
  • Manage service work orders using an online service platform
  • Coordinate customer communications and address service inquiries
  • Source and secure required materials and equipment; manage deliveries
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure billing accuracy
  • Resolve vendor disputes and manage credit requests
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to complete service projects
  • Schedule inspections and additional service tasks as needed
  • Prepare sales orders for accurate customer billing
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, which includes one weekend per quarter and one weekday per week, providing remote troubleshooting support
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
  • Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment)

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong phone and email communication presence

  • Prior experience in construction, automotive, or HVAC industries
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Quick to adapt to new software platforms
  • Capable of making sound business decisions within budget, with minimal supervision
