Engineering Checker

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is the leading provider of industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions, delivering custom engineered systems utilizing natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂. Through a fully integrated approach encompassing engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, nationwide service, and advanced aftermarket solutions, Innovative supports customers across the food and beverage, cold storage, pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, and mission-critical infrastructure markets throughout North America and around the world.

Unlike traditional engineering firms, contractors, or equipment suppliers, Innovative performs engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and ongoing customer support entirely in-house. This integrated model provides employees the opportunity to support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing, installation, startup, operation, optimization, modernization, and long-term system support.

· Maintain standardized checking and documentation processes.

· Assist in training engineers and designers on best practices for technical drawings.

· Document reviews, identify discrepancies, and track resolutions.

· Perform regular audits of engineering documentation to maintain quality assurance.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.

· Minimum 5 years of experience reviewing technical drawings in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

· Proficiency with engineering drawings, including GD&T, and familiarity with industry standards.

· Keen attention to detail with a focus on identifying inaccuracies and risks.

· Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor; and PDM/PLM systems.

· Strong communication skills to offer actionable feedback to engineering and production teams.

· Excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods.

· Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., engineering binders, office equipment).

Preferences:

· GD&T certification or related drafting credentials.

· Experience working under ISO 9001 or similar quality management standards.

· Background in industrial refrigeration or heavy manufacturing environments.

· Familiarity with engineering process improvement initiatives.
