Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and driven Entry-LevelAutomation Programmer to join our expanding office in Lyndhurst, VA. This position is responsible for the programming and implementation of various industrial automation systems including PLC systems used in an industrial refrigeration & construction setting. Office based with occasional travel required.

About the Position:

Key Duties:
Setup and startup of hardware and software for the PLC, Job PC, HMI Graphics, Variable Frequency Drives, control and communications networks and other electrical hardware and software
Program Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic (Automation Direct and Allen Bradley) for industrial projects
Program Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphic Screens and software (Wonderware Intouch) for industrial projects
Collaborate with Project Design Engineers to complete as-built drawings
Collaborate with in-house Service Department personnel to troubleshoot electrical/programming related issues with Refrigeration Systems in service
Provide direct assistance to our field team to troubleshoot electrical/programming issues
10 non-consecutive weeks of travel per year for commissioning and start-ups of projects on average (travel is an estimate based on the needs of the business, and could be more or less than 10 weeks depending on the scope of projects)
Requirements:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred. Will also consider Computer Science or associates degree in related fields.
Knowledge of or ability to learn Allen Bradley and PLC Direct hardware
Knowledge of or ability to learn HMI and Wonderware Intouch
Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other microcontrollers for projects may substitute for direct HMI/PLC experience
Experience with HTML5, Microsoft .NET, and/or relational databases is a plus
AutoCAD or other design software (Solidworks, Inventor, etc) knowledge preferred
Knowledge of communication and controls networking principles
Willingness to learn National Electrical Code and NFPA regulatory standards
