Innovative Refrigeration Systems is hiring Winery Cellar Workers for the 2019 season. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the wine industry in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. This position would have you working for a new winery in Afton, Virginia. The winery will be processing approximately 100 tons of grapes from 40 acres of our estate vines as well as from custom clients. This position will involve all aspects of working in a wine production facility.

About the Position:

Key Duties:
Receiving and processing of the fruit
Fermentation and cap management
Wine movements, barreling, and racking
Lab analysis and wine additions
Cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment
Follow safe operating procedures, maintain safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
Additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
Must be 21 or older
Previous experience in vineyard or winery work preferable.
Must be able to work well as part of a team and individually
Disciplined work ethic, accountability, and follow-through.
Ability to work alone without constant supervision.
Frequently required to stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Frequent walking and bending is required.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work long hours and weekends as required throughout harvest season. 50-60 hour weeks are possible during peak season.
