Staff Accountant
Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Staff Accountant in Lyndhurst, VA. This role will include accounts payable processing, contract billing, and other financial accounting and administrative tasks.
Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.
Job Role: The Staff Accountant will support various financial operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting processes.
Key Duties:
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices
- Perform contract billing and maintain detailed records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes
- Handle high volumes of data with accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements:
- 5+ accounting experience necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced excel skills
- Worked in ERP systems in a manufacturing or construction company
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals from different departments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to take on new tasks with minimal direction and also detail-orientated to handle high volumes of data
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or a related field
- Prior experience in an accounting/auditing role preferred
- Understanding of sales and use tax laws preferred
- Prior experience in process improvement
