AutoCAD Drafter

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter who is looking to grow their career. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of drafting/design on mechanical systems in HVAC/R or more broadly with MEP systems. This is a developmental role that will progress to include design activities under the direction of an engineer.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

Key Duties:

• Using AutoCAD, design components and equipment packages used in large-scale industrial refrigeration systems. 
• Create drawings in line with company procedures, regulations and client standards
• Provide support during the building and installation process
• Build Bills of Materials (BOM) for each design and enter the data into ERP system
• Consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications and providing physical assistance when required
• Work with purchasing team on material orders
• Communicate with vendors on part specification and fabrication
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of drafting (AutoCAD preferred)
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD program (Inventor, Solidworks) preferred
• This position is a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment and regular drug testing
