Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to join our dynamic quality control team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that every stage of our fabrication process meets the highest standards of quality and precision. You will be responsible for conducting thorough quality checks and inspections, maintaining and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), leading investigations into quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive quality inspections and checks throughout all stages of the fabrication process.
- Maintain, update, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Lead investigations into quality issues, identifying root causes, and developing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and other departments to implement and verify corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards and best practices.
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control, manufacturing, or related role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with tools and machinery.
- Welding experience is highly preferred, with the ability to assess weld quality and adherence to specifications.
- Proven experience in conducting investigations, writing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions.
- Comfortable working at heights as required for inspections and quality checks.
- Willingness to travel nationally to various job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, particularly in industrial settings, is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior quality control experience in a manufacturing, construction, maintenance, or other mechanical/electrical fields.
