Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Financial Analyst in Lyndhurst, VA.          

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

Job Role: The Financial Analyst is a critical member of the finance team, responsible for supporting the organization’s financial planning and decision-making processes. This role focuses on analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, and delivering actionable insights that help drive the company’s strategic and operational objectives. By leveraging financial expertise and advanced analytical skills, the Financial Analyst ensures that leadership has accurate and timely information to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting, with a proven ability to drive data-informed decisions that align with organizational goals.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct financial analyses to evaluate business performance, including profitability, cost trends, and cash flow management.         
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Prepare management reports and dashboards, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Support the preparation of presentations and materials for executive leadership and board meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven recommendations and financial insights.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related financial role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, budgeting software).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferences:

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA certification.
  • Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, Anaplan).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Previous experience in a corporate FP&A environment or related industry.
