Job Role: The Epicor ERP Developer is responsible for the customization, enhancement, and maintenance of the Epicor ERP system to meet business needs. This role involves analyzing requirements, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring the ERP system operates efficiently to support internal operations. The ideal candidate will leverage technical expertise to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance overall system performance.
Key Duties:
Develop, test, and implement custom solutions within the Epicor ERP system to meet evolving business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, analyze workflows, and recommend system enhancements.
Design, build, and manage integrations between Epicor and other enterprise systems to improve data flow and operational efficiency.
Proficiency in working with configurators, including creating, updating, and modifying them to meet evolving business development goals and engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize system downtime.
Create intuitive dashboards, queries, and SSRS reports to support strategic decision-making across departments.
Perform regular system maintenance, including upgrades and patches, to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
Document all customizations, processes, and integrations comprehensively to support training and future development.
Continuously evaluate and implement workflow improvements to increase operational productivity and system usability
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Epicor ERP development and system management.
Advanced proficiency in Epicor development tools such as BAQ, BPM, SSRS, and other customization modules.
Expertise in relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues effectively.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferences:
Epicor ERP or related certification.
Experience with cloud-based Epicor solutions, including migration or implementation projects.
Familiarity with manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries, particularly in leveraging ERP systems to optimize operations.
Proficiency in modern data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) or scripting languages (e.g., Python).
