Sales Engineer

 

Job Role: The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities for design build industrial & commercial refrigeration construction projects, retrofit projects, and service projects. This role focuses on developing client relationships, delivering tailored solutions, and driving revenue growth. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with internal teams to ensure project alignment with client needs and company goals. This is a structured developmental role designed for a recent graduate. The position includes rotations through multiple departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of our products, processes, and sales strategies, setting a strong foundation for long-term success as a Sales Engineer.

 

Key Duties:

  • Learn and apply technical knowledge of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems including natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO2.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within target industries such as food and beverage, cold storage, and manufacturing.
  • Developing proposals, pricing strategies, and customer presentations.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, effectively communicating complex refrigeration system designs and engineering concepts to customers with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, project management, and aftermarket services teams to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Participate in networking events to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Maintain customer relationships by providing ongoing support, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying future sales opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, customer interactions, and project details.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer activities, and technological advancements in industrial refrigeration.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in business development and customer relationship management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, training, and industry events as required.

 

Preferences:

  • Previous experience in sales or business development.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
