Assembler
Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Assembler in Lyndhurst, VA. This manufacturing position is responsible for building and assembling components of industrial refrigeration systems. The role includes mechanical assembly, rigging, insulation, and finishing tasks.

Job Role: The Assembler works within our fabrication facility assembling penthouse units and other refrigeration system components. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who thrive in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment. The position reports to the Foreman and supports the manufacturing team in delivering high-quality systems.
Key Duties:
- Assemble penthouse units and components per specifications
- Perform rigging and movement of equipment and parts
- Accurately read and use a tape measure
- Operate a fork truck safely as needed
- Use hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal
- Conduct grinding, sanding, painting, and insulation tasks
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly
- Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of measurements and ability to use tape measures accurately
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle check
- Willingness to work some Saturdays and overtime
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions in a shop environment
- Must pass pre-employment and regular drug screening (safety-sensitive position)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
- Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools accurately and safely.
Preferences:
- Previous experience in sheet metal assembly or HVAC fabrication
