Description:

As Safety Coordinator, you will support and help execute our safety program for an industrial refrigeration assembly operation. You’ll assist with prevention programs, job hazard analyses and risk assessments, incident response and follow-up actions, OSHA compliance, and targeted training. You’ll be a daily presence on the floor, partnering with production to reinforce a strong safety culture and drive continuous

 

What you’ll do

  • Daily shop walkthroughs, coaching, and safety support across all shifts
  • Coordinate safety training: new-hire onboarding, hands-on refreshers, and annual certifications
  • Assist with incident investigations end to end: scene control, witness statements, document pulls, and root-cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain OSHA compliance tasks, internal audits, and clean recordkeeping
  • Support Job Hazard Analyses in the shop: welding, machining, cranes, forklifts, material handling
  • Help plan emergency response drills tailored to the shop
  • Reinforce EHS policies with clear communication and on-the-floor coaching

 

What you bring

  • 1–3+ years in EHS within fabrication, metalworking, construction, or industrial manufacturing (open to rising talent)
  • Floor presence and credibility with welders, electricians, machinists, etc.
  • Clear communication and a trainer’s mindset
  • Comfortable reading prints, walking jobs, and partnering with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to engineer out hazards
  • Investigation skills that drive timely, thorough follow-up
  • Discipline with audits, compliance tasks, and documentation

 

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience in heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or production
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable state/federal regulations, applied in real operations
  • Mechanical mindset with interest in optimization, process improvement, and lean principles
