Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Technical Recruiter in Lyndhurst, VA. This role is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top technical talent for engineering and supporting positions across the organization.
Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design-build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.
Job Role: The Technical Recruiter is responsible for driving the company’s growth by proactively sourcing, engaging, and closing high-quality engineering and technical talent, with a primary focus on mid- and senior-level roles. This is a high-impact, hunter-style role that requires strong market knowledge, persistence, and the ability to attract and secure top talent in competitive environments.
This role will also support hiring across corporate functions and contribute to early career recruiting initiatives, including university outreach and career fairs.
Key Duties:
- Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand technical requirements, team needs, and hiring priorities
- Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies targeting passive, high-caliber engineering talent
- Build and maintain strong pipelines for mid- and senior-level technical roles
- Own full-cycle recruiting, including candidate engagement, qualification, and offer closing
- Actively sell opportunities and manage candidates through competing offers and decision processes
- Support hiring for non-engineering corporate roles as needed
- Lead and participate in early career recruiting efforts, including college career fairs and campus engagement
- Represent the company at recruiting events, industry meetups, and networking opportunities
- Track and manage recruiting metrics including pipeline health, time-to-fill, and conversion rates
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Maintain ATS data integrity and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience recruiting for technical or engineering roles, including mid- and senior-level positions
- Proven ability to source and close passive candidates in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of technical roles (mechanical, electrical, industrial, etc.)
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting independently
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods.
- Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment).
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Experience recruiting in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
- Experience with campus recruiting and early career programs
