Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking to place a Construction Safety Manager in the Layton, UT area. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance and quality control on the jobsite per OSHA specifications. The primary focus of this position is to provide oversight and safety compliance during the demolition of a refrigeration facility. This position will work closely with the field construction and office leadership teams to ensure all regulations are followed and a safe work environment is maintained. This is a temporary contract position and will last roughly 6-10 weeks.

About the Position:

  • M-F, 8a-5p position (40 hours per week). May require night shift work.
  • Weekly pay
  • Application takes 5-10 minutes, receive feedback in 2 business days

Key Duties:

  • Create and maintain Job Hazard Analyses
  • Issuing daily hot work permits
  • Documenting jobsite progress including taking photos of the jobsite
  • Conduct incident reports for safety and quality issues on the jobsite
  • Oversee all safety policies and procedures
  • Identify safety training needs and opportunities
  • Responsible for working with field employees

Requirements:

  • A four-year degree in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety Management is preferred. Willing to accept experience in lieu of a degree
  • OSHA30 Card required prior to beginning employment
  • Background in safety related work strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals including craft workers to senior management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to lead/manage project teams in these process areas to ensure results and move company forward
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certified or willingness to become certified
