Summer Employment - Outdoor Painting

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Summer Painting Intern to work at our facility in Lyndhurst, VA. This position would be responsible for painting several company logos on the roof of the facility. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience painting (preferably on buildings or other similar applications), works well with limited supervision, is used to working outdoors for extended periods of time, and will be comfortable working at heights on a roof of a large facility.

Key Duties:

• Working independently, review painting designs and apply to the roof of the facility
• Work with management staff to ensure quality finished product
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Prefer a candidate who is pursuing a degree specializing in the arts
• Position requires prior painting experience
• Candidate must be 18 or older
• Ability to translate painting design into professional quality finished product
• Ability to work at heights on rooftops
• Ability to work well with little supervision
• Ability to work outdoors for extended amounts of time
• Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Frequent walking and bending is required 
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet in height
