Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking to place a dedicated, detail-oriented Service Manager in Lyndhurst, VA. The Service Manager will be responsible for management of service technicians who perform routine and emergency service work at various jobsites across the United States. Service Manager also maintains customer accounts/contracts, and maintains required documentation to include warranty information, purchase orders, and other key information.

About the Position:

Key Duties:

  • Schedule cost effective travel arrangements for all service personnel including scheduling, dispatching, and coordinating with customers
  • Distribute and communicate travel plans to service technicians and provide support for travel needs
  • Secure materials, schedule arrivals, and confirm deliveries for Service & Warranty needs
  • Locate and purchase/rent materials needed to be on location at the time needed based on technician schedule
  • Be point-of-contact between vendors, technicians, and customers
  • Resolve disputes and requests for credit with vendors for service-related purchases
  • Schedule service technician vehicle maintenance, keep track of mileage, tags, inspections, and other equipment on company vehicles
  • Work with subcontractors as needed to ensure completion of assignments
  • Issue purchase orders and submit to billing for approval
  • Schedule inspections and other tasks as necessary
  • Handle emergency service calls; this will require one weekend per month and one weekday per workweek
  • Provide information to customers about what repairs are needed including price quoting

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or other related field preferred
  • Technically savvy with experience of 1+yrs in MS Office programs
  • Prior construction/automotive/HVAC experience preferred
  • Prefer a candidate who is mechanically minded and inclined
  • The ability to quickly adapt to new software
  • Good phone presence and ability to engage with customers over phone and email
  • The ability to make independent business decision within budget, seeking guidance only when dealing with exceptionally difficult issues
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excels in an ever-changing work environment
  • Leadership experience or capabilities strongly preferred
