SafetyAmp is looking for a full-time Sales Development Representative to join our sales team that wants to make a difference as much as we do. We are a health & safety technology startup in Waynesboro, VA that needs your help in taking us to the next level! This role requires a smart, analytical, and motivated person with a lot of hustle to help us identify and engage target prospects that will become customers, and determine if our product can make a positive impact in safety at these organizations.

You will be regularly communicating with decision makers to qualify prospects by understanding the safety challenges facing their organizations and demonstrating the related benefits of our solutions. The right candidate has the opportunity and mobility to move into an account executive role. Communication skills are an absolute must as you will be speaking with C-Suite and VP level individuals responsible for Safety & Health in their organization.

What you'll be doing:

  • Learning our solution and connecting its benefits to the safety issues facing our prospective customers
  • Driving sales as an early employee at a high growth B2B SaaS startup
  • Generating a sales pipeline through outbound lead generation and prospecting
  • Nurturing and qualifying your prospects with outbound emails and calls
  • Converting general interest to "purchase intent"
  • Running data-driven tests to improve email and call results

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or prior software sales experience)
  • An incredibly strong interest in technology, startups, selling software, and helping organizations keep their workforce safe
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, and an eager desire to learn outbound sales
  • Hustle: you will be doing a lot of researching, e-mailing and calling
  • A high level of technical proficiency relevant to a SaaS startup
  • Familiarity with CRMs such as Hubspot/Salesforce
  • Prior experience in sales or account management a plus
  • Prior experience in software sales a huge plus
  • An understanding of industrial workplace safety will move you to the front of our list! (Willingness to learn if not)
