Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking to place an immediate opening for an Industrial Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a new graduate from an Industrial & Systems Engineering program (ISE) that is passionate about improving safety and quality in a company. You will be provided with the training and industry knowledge necessary to become an integral member of the Continuous Improvement Team. Advancement opportunities are available to those candidates who show initiative and drive needed to bring success to the company. This candidate is highly preferred to be bi-lingual in English & Spanish. This position will work closely with both the Safety Manager & the Continuous Improvements Manager, as well as our Manufacturing team.

About the Position:

Key Duties:

  • Guide the design, development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and activities throughout the company to improve competitiveness and operational excellence
  • Review and measure engineering/construction methods, technology application, and workflow processes and apply lean/continuous improvement application skills
  • Responsible for working with the senior leadership team to plan, execute, monitor, and continuously improve field and corporate objectives
  • Identify safety training needs and develop training curriculum and materials within our STAR program
  • Exhibit operational knowledge of construction and service standards and be able to move the team forward
  • Work to improve efficiency of service and maintenance operations in the field
  • Develop and maintain SOP’s/video walk-throughs to ensure consistent training and quality assurance
  • Provide project oversight/assistance to Project Managers, in-house shop foreman, and office staff
  • Other duties as assigned by the Continuous Improvement Engineering Manager & Safety Manager


  • A Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively
  • A drive to improve already functioning systems to drive the company to the next level
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals, from craft worker to senior management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Motivated with a desire to succeed
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish highly desired
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office & other necessary technical applications
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to manage projects effectively
