Description:

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and driven PLC Programmer to join our expanding office in Lyndhurst, VA.   As a PLC Programmer, you will be creating custom solutions in automation and controls for cold storage warehouses located Nationwide.  This job is essential in providing the most efficient and dependable operating systems for our customers.  

What you can expect in the PLC Programmer role:

  • Provide setup and startup of Hardware and Software for the PLC, Job PC, HMI Graphics, Variable Frequency Drives, control and communications networks and other Electrical Hardware and Software
  • Program Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic (Automation Direct and Allen Bradley) for jobs
  • Program Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphic Screens and software (Wonderware Intouch) for jobs
  • Collaborate with Project Design Engineers to complete as-built drawings
  • Collaborate with in-house Service Department personnel to troubleshoot electrical/programming related issues with Refrigeration Systems in service.
  • Provide direct assistance to our field team to troubleshoot electrical/programming issues
  • 6-8 non-consecutive weeks of travel per year for commissioning and start-ups of projects

What you need to be successful:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred (Extensive experience will be considered in lieu of education)
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley and PLC Direct hardware
  • Knowledge of HMI and Wonderware Intouch
  • AutoCAD knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of communication and controls networking principles
  • Extensive knowledge of National Electrical Code and NFPA regulatory standards
