Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking to hire an Accountant. The ideal candidate will be familiar with general accounting practices & will be knowledgeable of all associated laws. The accountant will be responsible for completing internal audits, preparing monthly & yearly financial statements, recommending continuous improvements opportunities, and participating in financial forecasting for the company. This position will be heavily involved in both month and year-end activities and will ensure compliance with all accounting laws and governing principles.

About the Position:

Key Duties:

  • Primary auditor for all accounts and transactions
  • Responsible for working with the senior leadership team to plan, execute, monitor, and continuously improve accounting department functions and financial direction
  • Produce month-end & year-end reports
  • Prepare & analyze financial statements
  • Research & reconcile all account discrepancies
  • Assisting with the creation of budgets for all departments
  • Reconciling general ledger and all other accounts
  • Participate in financial forecasting for the company
  • Other duties as assigned by the CFO and/or President
  • Oversight of ERP system for accounting functions (Epicor)

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent prior work experience)
  • Strong understanding of all accounting laws and principles
  • Prior experience in an accounting or financial auditing role required
  • A drive to improve already functioning systems to drive the company to the next level
  • Awareness of the latest industry trends and practices
  • Experience with accounting software packages including Quickbooks
  • Experience with general ledger functions and end of year closing processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals from different departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Motivated with a desire to succeed
  • Detail-oriented
  • Interest in programming accounting ERP system (Epicor)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
